What causes it — and what each fix costs
Rinse aid empty (or never used)
Rinse aid breaks water’s surface tension so it sheets off instead of beading. Fill it and give it two weeks — this alone fixes most drying complaints. Free-ish.
Heating element failed
On machines with exposed elements, no heat at cycle end = element continuity check, then replacement.
Vent / fan assembly stuck
Condensation-dry machines vent moist air through a motorized vent; stuck closed means steam has nowhere to go.

Bosch-style machines never blow hot air — plastics come out damp by design. Crack the door after the cycle or use the auto-open feature.
