📖 GLOSSARY · CONCEPT
What is an error code?
A code shown on the display naming the circuit the machine is unhappy with — a starting point, not a diagnosis.
Error codes report which circuit failed a check, not which part is broken. An LE locked-motor code does not mean "buy a motor" — it means the board is not seeing the speed feedback it expects, which could be the sensor, the harness or a genuine jam. Some platforms clear stored codes on power loss, so read them before unplugging the machine. On many appliances a diagnostic or service mode reveals a fuller fault history than the display shows.
