What causes it — and what each fix costs
Frozen water line in the door
French-door and side-by-side door lines freeze if the door compartment runs too cold. Thawing is free; recurrences mean adjusting temps or a heater kit.
Inlet valve failed
The dispenser side of the dual valve dies while ice still works (or vice versa).
Clogged filter
The #1 cause of weak flow. Replace every 6 months.
Dispenser switch/actuator
Press the paddle, nothing happens — the microswitch behind it wore out.
